Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-20
TempMail ("we", "us", or "our") operates the TempMail temporary email website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service processes and how we handle it. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Our privacy-first principle
TempMail is designed to protect your privacy. We do not require registration, we do not ask for any personal information, and we do not create user accounts. Temporary email addresses and the messages they receive are ephemeral: they exist only for the lifetime of the address you generate and are automatically discarded when the address expires.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not ask for your name, real email address, phone number or any other personally identifying information.
- We do not create accounts or profiles.
- We do not permanently store the contents of the emails you receive. Messages are held only transiently to display them in your browser and are deleted when the temporary address expires.
- We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.
3. Information processed automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and edge providers process limited technical data needed to deliver the Service securely and prevent abuse:
- Technical logs: IP address, browser type/user agent, approximate country (derived from IP), and timestamps. These are used for security, rate-limiting and abuse prevention, and are retained only for a short period.
- Local storage: your language preference and current temporary session are stored in your browser's local storage so the site works correctly. This data never leaves your device except as needed to fetch your inbox.
4. Cookies and advertising
The Service may display advertising provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- For more information on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
5. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Data security
Traffic is served over HTTPS. Because we do not store personal data or email content beyond the short lifetime of a temporary address, the risk of a data breach affecting you is minimal. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and you should never use a temporary inbox for sensitive or confidential communications.
7. Third-party links
Emails you receive may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
8. Your rights
Since we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct or delete on request. If you have questions about your data, contact us using the details below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
